But in the 120 or so examples collected here, John Crace makes it something more. He's both a tart critic and a confident parodist. He can also pack an astounding amount in: short story collections, many-threaded novels, fat and rambling autobiographies. Nor does all that smother his jokes. Worth a place by any literary loo.
